Hawaii

This post is certainly over due. Have I mentioned that my life goal is to be a wedding photographer in Hawaii? This is a collection of photos from Oahu and Maui, from a vacation a couple of years ago.

Sacramento Engagement

Ramy and Jaspreet are a couple surrounded by so much love, it’s easy to see why their engagement party was so lively! Between amazing food, meaningful tradition, and lots (and lots) of dancing, I had a wonderful time photographing this event. Thank you both for letting me be a part of it, and here’s to a beautiful marriage!

You ladies are gorgeous!

Below, Jaspreet and Ramy (in the middle) pose with just a small group of their close friends.

Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens, just north of Los Angeles, is a stunning place to visit any time of the year, but I particularly like when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. It’s one of the things I love about LA… you don’t have to drive too far and you can find yourself in some of the prettiest places.

Cheer L.A.

This is delayed, certainly, but I had the opportunity to photograph Cheer L.A. (www.cheerla.org) at the 2011 Los Angeles Pride parade. They are an amazingly talented group of people who raise money for a wide variety of charities. Their cause at this Pride was the fight against AIDS.

Look at that flip! The aerial stunts this group did were just outstanding and would terrify me.

And finally, a little post performance celebrating. Sorry it’s so late, but great job, Cheer LA! Keep doing what you do!

So many pictures to edit

It’s not that I’m not taking them. You should see my folders of pictures. Most of them are even edited. For some reason, it’s water marking them where I get hung up. I shall prevail!

I’m learning towards getting a Canon 5D. I want to wait until the 5D Mk III comes out though, because then the Mk II will go down in price. Even still, it is a huge investment and a huge leap in my photography. I will keep you all updated, of course.

In the meantime, here are a couple photos of one of my recent baking binges. (I’m a stress baker, have I mentioned that?) The theme was A Clockwork Orange, and the cookies were orange, and the cupcakes were pineapple mandarin. Next post? Head shots. Stay tuned (and thanks for humoring my filler posts!)
